What an incredible week!
I’ve spent the last week with some of the most amazing people on the planet, and I feel so very blessed and grateful for each and every one of them.
For those of you who didn’t know, since last Thursday I have been crewing at an event here in London for Tony Robbins. It has been an incredible week of fun, dancing, laughter, friendship, family, love and passionate, awe-inspiring energy.
I’ve been doing a few calculations, and my rough estimate is that I got around 15 hours of sleep between Wednesday of last week, and yesterday (Tuesday).
What was interesting about this was in that space of time I got so many compliments about how great I was looking (!) mainly because I was just so full of energy by spending my time with these amazing people.
These people had come from literally all over the world to be at this event…we had friends from the US, from Indonesia, all over Europe…the list of locations goes on and on.
What was beautiful about it was that in this melting pot of different cultures, languages, backgrounds and ages there was such an attitude of acceptance, love and unity.
I’ve been hugged more in the last week, than I have in the entire year so far to date! 😀
We’ve shared laughter, tears, and a lot of smiles.
We’ve danced, we’ve sung, we’ve celebrated.
We’ve walked across fire, we’ve changed lives, we’ve touched hearts.
We’ve stayed up all night, we’ve talked all day, we’ve listened to one another’s stories.
We connected, on a basic human level, beyond all the superficial rubbish that so many people make important on a day to day basis.
…I loved every single second of it.
Something that really struck me about spending so much intense time with these people is that by being around them, I became a better version of me…and by being around me, they became a better version of them.
We complimented each other.
We bought out the best in each other.
We helped each other to sparkle just that little bit more (some of us quite literally…see the picture!)
It really brought home to me how important it is to spend time with the people who inspire you, the people who make you want to be the best version of yourself that you can be, the people who you want to be like.
I am very lucky to have a group of amazing friends here in the UK and around the world who bring out the very best in me…and I know that I’m a better person because of them.
So who do YOU want to be like? Who inspires you to be the best version of yourself? Who brings out the best in YOU?
Remember – You are who you spend your time with…choose wisely.
